Tracy Eeftink

25+ Years at Majestic
Owner Operator

Tracy made Ucluelet her home and started Majestic Ocean Kayaking 25+ Years ago. Today she is even more committed to providing an exceptional experience to all the Majestic Kayaking clients.

After a 15 year career of kayak guiding around the Broken Group Islands and Clayoquot Sound, now you will find Tracy at home-base managing operations and looking after guests. Tracy loves feeding people delicious food, and has developed an exceptional menu for the tours.

Ted Eeftink

15+ Years at Majestic
Owner Operator

Ted’s local knowledge, passion for local history and seamanship abilities come from his lifetime of experience and training and living on the west coast. Ted was born in Ucluelet, raised his family here and has been a certified kayak guide for 10 years, with extensive first aid and rescue training. Ted runs the company with his wife Tracy; looking after all equipment and tour departures. Ted is the Ucluelet Fire Chief and has volunteered for the Ucluelet fire brigade for 20+ years.

Gary Bostrom

12th Year at Majestic

Gary and his big sturdy state of the art boat, the Ms.Judy, provide kayak transport to the Broken Group Islands. Gary is a lifetime resident of the west coast, he is a kayaker, diver, (you name it!) and retired crab fisherman. His newest love is his 65’ sail boat.

Ben Anderson

4th Year at Majestic
Level 3 Kayak Guide

Canadian Outdoor Leadership Training Graduate and Recreation and Sport Management Graduate at Vancouver Island University. Ben enjoys being a kayak guide and sharing his passion for kayaking, he loves the summers in Ucluelet, surfing, climbing and composing music.

Bobby Wheatley

4th Year at Majestic
Level 2 Overnight Guide

Bobby is a graduate of the Adventure Tourism program at Thompson Rivers University.  Bobby enjoys kayaking, surfing, climbing, cooking and is learning how to play the keyboard.

Alaina McNeil

1st Year at Majestic
Level 2 Kayak Guide

Alaina has her West Coast Adventure College level 2 Certificate. Alaina has been kayaking all around Vancouver Island for a few years. She enjoys kayaking, hiking, surfing, skiing and snowboarding.

Chenoah Shine

4th Year at Majestic
Assistant Overnight Guide

Paddle Canada L1 and 2 skills. Runner and outdoor enthusiast. Attending University in Victoria and she can’t wait to get home to Ucluelet and go kayaking.

Brayden Cogdale

2nd Year at Majestic
Assistant Overnight Guide

Brayden Grew up in Yellowknife, NWT. He has completed his Canadian Outdoor Leadership Training and his 3rd year of Sport and Recreation Management. He is also taking the Resource Management Officer Technology program at VIU. Brayden enjoys all sport activities, climbing, skiing, surfing, and he loves kayaking!

Megan Fortune

2nd Year at Majestic
Assistant Overnight Guide

Megan has spent her life on the west coast, kayaking and sailing. Megan is an outstanding volunteer around Ucluelet and has been one of our most accomplished junior kayakers. Megan is studying Recreation and Sport Management at University.

Eric Boros

2nd Year at Majestic
Assistant Overnight Guide

Eric has recently upgraded his first aid and kayak guide training and just completed his PC Level 3. Eric has been paddling around Vancouver Island for over 25 years. He has worked for a few other kayak companies but really wanted to be on the West Coast. Eric is Fluent in French and English.

Kevin Nickerson

1st Year at Majestic
Assistant Overnight Guide

Kevin worked for 2 seasons as a kayak guide around the Gulf Islands and has come to Majestic Ocean Kayaking to be on the West Coast. In the winter Kevin works on Ski Patrol providing 1st aid and mountain rescue. His past life Kevin has been a swimming coach and trainer for young competitive swimmers. Kevin has a fun personality and is very professional.

Shannon Jensen

1st Year at Majestic
Assistant Overnight Guide

Shannon is originally from Alberta, but now calls Vancouver Island home. She has spent much time travelling around the world and providing nursing care to remote communities in Manitoba. Shannon not only has her Bachelor of Science in Nursing but is also a yoga teacher, an advanced open water diver, and whale whisperer. Shannon enjoys everything water related such as kayaking, surfing, diving, swimming, and snorkeling.

Lisa Ucci

3rd Year at Majestic
Administrative Assistant

Lisa has completed her BBA streaming in Accounting. Lisa enjoys all aspects of the outdoors, she is a dance instructor. Lisa moved to Ucluelet 3 years ago from Ontario.  Call and talk to Lisa about booking your kayaking trip she gives excellent customer service.

Molly Zimmer

4th Year at Majestic
Cook Extraordinaire!

Molly has been creating and cooking delicious meals all over the island as well in her hometown of Nelson BC. Molly is a graduate of the Baking and Pastry Arts program at Vancouver Island University. She enjoys kayaking, cooking, snowboarding, hiking, surfing, dancing and spending time with her beautiful dog Luna.

Evania Nolan

10th Year at Majestic
Employee Services and Reservations

Evania has always enjoyed working with animals, she is an Animal Care Aid. Evania recently completed her BA in Psychology, she is taking an approach to existentialism. She enjoys kayaking, hiking, exploring the many caves on Vancouver Island.

Bob Purdy

1st Year at Majestic
Tour Organizer/Equipment Maintenance

Bob is The Standup Paddlesurfing Elder in Training from Paddle for the Planet. He has paddled more than 2,000 days since January 1, 2011 to “Change the Way we live on the Planet”. Bob is also the founder of World Paddle for the Planet Day and is featured in “The Paddle Movie” that was partially filmed on the West Coast. Bob moved to Ucluelet with wife Sharon in 2015 and loves to share all things West Coast!
