Making a Reservation
You can make a reservation for any of our kayaking day trips or multi-day trips by calling 1.800.889.7644 and speaking to our friendly and helpful office staff, or click here for our online reservation form.
If you are not sure which trip is the right one for you or if you would simply like more information on one of our trips please give us a call or send us an email. We would be happy to answer any questions that you might have. To reserve a space on our tours we require a deposit and a completed reservation form, which can be done over the phone or by email. Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of your trip deposit or full payment.
- Day trips require full payment at the time of booking, the payment is non refundable, credits will be issued in the case of illness. If we need to cancel the tour because of safety reasons you would be fully refunded.
- Multi-Day trips require a non-refundable $200 deposit per person at the time of booking. This holds your space until full payment is due, 30 days prior to your trip departure date. We will contact you with a reminder and will not process the outstanding balance on your credit card without your prior consent.
Prices are per person, in Canadian funds. If using a credit card to secure your reservation, exchange rates will be determined by the issuing credit card company. You may complete our secure on line booking form and include your credit card number. If you are paying by cheque, we cannot confirm your reservation until the payment has been confirmed at our bank.
If you find it necessary to cancel your tour, please let us know as soon as possible. All payments are non-refundable but we are able to issue you with a credit for you to re-book another time. If you are unable to participate on the trip that you have registered for and are unable to reschedule to a trip within the same year, your credit does not expire. Your trip payment is transferable for any Majestic Ocean Kayaking scheduled trip (subject to availability).
After we have received your deposit and booking information we will confirm your reservation. For multi-day trips we will send you an information package. This will include everything that you will need to know in order to prepare for your tour including an tour description, packing list, transportation options and directions to us in Ucluelet. Please let us know if you are planning a birthday or anniversary trip so that we can help you to do something special. If you have special dietary considerations, please let us know in advance so we can discuss this with you and accommodate your needs.
We highly recommend that all guests purchase adequate trip cancellation insurance. Non-Canadians should have adequate health insurance to cover non-refundable trip costs due to personal or family illness or accident. For detailed information on insurance coverage, please contact your insurance or travel agent.
Trip Cancellation and Delays
Sometimes the weather can prevent us from taking you out on the water at the time and date that you requested. In this case we will give you a full refund or we will move you to another date and time that works for your schedule.
We are not responsible for any expenses incurred by guests if a trip is delayed due to weather, cancelled or delayed flights, or other means of transportation, illness, or any situation which we cannot make provisions for.
We recommend that you check your personal insurance coverage to ensure that you have sufficient health and personal injury insurance coverage should you require medical or hospital services during your visit. We, Majestic Ocean Kayaking do not provide any coverage for medical costs or evacuation should they be incurred during the course of your tour.
We do not require guests to have any previous kayaking experience in order to participate on our tours but we do require that you are comfortable around water and that you are in a good general physical condition, sufficient for 4 to 6 hours of daily kayaking, with rest stops and some easy hiking. If you have any physical concerns please let us know. If you have any specific medical conditions, we encourage you to check with your doctor before you reserve your trip.
Because we travel in a wilderness environment we require guests to have some flexibility and understanding that the itinerary of our tours can be subject to change without prior notice due to local circumstances. While traveling with us you agree to accept the authority of the guide at all times. Guests need to be aware that group travel can involve compromises due to differing abilities of group members and we ask that you come with an open mind and sense of adventure.
Medical and Liability Release Forms
We will send you a waiver form that we would like you to read before you register for the trip. Each guest is required to fully fill out the medical form and liability release form. We require the medical forms at least 30 days prior to tour departure. The Waiver of liability must be signed prior to departure at our office. You do not need to send this to us as we will ask you to sign in front of us when you check in for your tour. Any guest under the age of 18 years will be required to have a legal guardian sign the waiver on their behalf.
In order to have you join one of our tours we may need to collect your name, contact or billing information, transactions or credit card information. This information is used only for this purpose and we will not share your personal information with any other person or organization except as may be required to process your request for services or as required by law.
If you have provided us with your e-mail addess then we may occasionally send out news, updates or special offers by email. We will never share your email address with any third party. If you do not wish to recieve these you can unsubscribe at any time by emailing or calling us.
